Vintage Working Reuge Embossed Leather Carousel

Vintage Reuge Embossed Leather Carousel Cigarette/Lipstick Music Box This vintage Reuge music box carousel features antiqued and embossed leather (rare) designs. The round top panel shows a scene from Dante and Beatrice? - with a brass angel finial. The 6 side panels feature more angels and other figures. The doors which are fitted with metal pockets with beige velvet linings, open to a twirling ballerina figurine inside. The brass base has 3 satyr-like heads for feet. In front is a button to push and play.

On the bottom the original Reuge paper label lists the two tunes played: "Minuet - Mozart", "Gavotte - Louis XIII", and "Swiss Musical Movement". 10" tall, base 6.5" diameter. Excellent working condition the music plays and the box opens and closes perfectly. The leather of one panel is torn (see pictures) but the piece is included and repair should not be difficult.
