This is a lovely, vintage (1988) Swiss Reuge Musical Birdcage Automaton. This music box/cage is called "The Singing Bird" and features 2 nightingales that move and sing once the music box is wound.

There is some wear on the paint from being displayed, but the winding mechanism and switch work great and the birds move great with a lovely sound. The song can play for 3 minutes without interruption, or can be played for 20 minutes when set on the intermittent setting. Made in Saint Croix Switzerland in June 1988.

Approximately 11.5 inches tall and 6.5 inches wide. Comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. Also comes in the original box.
