Vintage Swiss Gold Brass Music Box Thorens Reuge Grand Piano Bakelite Top Works

Up for sale is a Vintage 1930's Swiss Gold Brass? Music Cigarette Trinket Box by Reuge in the shape of a Grand Piano with a Black Bakelite Top. The music box mechanism looks like the original 1930's Reuge Model. It plays great when you lift the lid.

It has paper song labels on the inside with two 1930's tunes "Two Cigarettes in the Dark" 1934 Bing Crosby Song and "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes" A 1934 tune also. There is a metal Brass colored music scroll and wreath on top of the Nice Black Bakelite Top. It has a great condition Black & White Metal Keyboard.

Many I see have this same look. The Black piano top sits slightly off center when seated. Maybe a bent hinge pin?

Works fine and starts and stops the music fine. It measures about 8.5" long by 5.25" wide and 4 high.

Not perfect, but a very nice example of a high-quality music box.
