Vintage Rodi Musical Jewelry Box, Swiss Made, Movement By Reuge

This is an absolutely beautiful Vintage Rodi musical jewelry box, Swiss made WITH REUGE Movement. This box looks as beautiful today as it did then. The box measures approximately 15" long X 8-1/4" wide X 3-3/4 in heighth. The box looks to be a burled wood with inlays on the top cover displaying violin, musical instruments, sheet music and flowers. This box has a very unique shape, 3 sides on each end with the front and back.

The music box is wound from the bottom and has a key to lock it. The inside is done in green velvet type material, has a top tray that lifts out with a velvet bottom for larger pieces of jewelry and the REUGE movement. The melody for this box is "EINE kleine NACHTMUSIK" and is played when you lift the lid.

This box is in pristine condition. Was never used, only displayed in a curio cabinet to show the beauty of the music box.
