VINTAGE REUGE CAPODIMONTE MUSIC BOX LIPSTICK Holder Ballerina
Wonderful vibrant colors on this music box. Here's a stunning example of a very fine'mosque style' porcelain music box made in Italy in the fine Capodimonte style.
Its hand-painted deep red colors accented with gleaming gold leaf create a timeless style for any room and its elaborate scenes feature cherubs in a variety of garden settings. Twist the top to open the doors and you'll see red velvet lined storage cubbies perfect for your treasures.
Dried flowers, candy canes, secret notes... Whatever is special to you. The Reuge music box itself is Swiss-made and plays the popular "Lara's Theme" from the 1970 movie Dr. Reuge has an excellent reputation for their music boxes going back more than a hundred and fifty years and this is a fine example of their artistry. As the music plays, the delicate ballerina hops and twirls in a delightful dance.

This music box will delight any art lover and the original maker's emblem sticker is still attached to the top. Other than a nick in the porcelain along the top ridge (see photo), it is in beautiful condition.
