Vintage REUGE Capodimonte ITALY Music Carousel Cigarette Lipstick Holder WORKS. Vintage Reuge Capodimonte Cherub Music Box Carousel.
Originally made as a cigarette/lipstick holder. It is hand painted and has such beautiful detail and craftmanship, with Angels and Trees. Plays Tales from Vienna Woods when opening and changes to Bue Danube when closing.
Made in Italy with Swiss Reuge Movement. Still in good working condition (see video). Measures appx 13.5" tall and 7" wide. In overall very good condition, with the small chip on the outer top edge (see pics) and metal wear appropriate with age.
The push button to turn it on with was missing the outer washer, so it has been replaced with a nut so that it works correctly, but is not the original part (see pics). Some wear to one of the gears (see pics) as these are the original parts and do wear down after awhile due to age and use.
I Love to go to Auctions, Estate Sales and Garage Sales. I find Oddities, Unique and Collectible items. I do this to find use for these Vintage, Old, used items and to make someone Happy and bring back fond memories of long ago. Please consider All my items to be used or damaged in some way and not Perfect. I will state in my ad whether an item has scratches, scuffs, chips, dents, tarnish, rust or breaks but I will not count how many there are and I may miss something once in awhile. I do not clean my items and sell them as found. On all Vintage electrical items I sell, I have done normal testing on the item and will tell you if it worked when it was tested, but I make no guarantees on how long the item will work for, as they are old. Please remember I take the photos the best I can and describe the color of the item as best I can but All Computer Monitors vary when it comes to Viewing the color of items, also the lighting sometimes in the photos, and everyone sees color a little bit differently, so I cannot guarantee the color you see on your monitor will be Exactly the same as what it will be when you get it in your hands.
