Vintage Rare Swiss Reuge Marquetry Footed Music Box Made In Italy 13

Vintage Swiss Reuge Marquetry footed music/jewelry box with floral motif on top. Brass claw feet, exquisite Marquetry design. Blonde and brown Marquetry wood. Inlay floral design on top. Decorative inlay work enhances top and sides.

Brass lock and brass key. Tray is green velvet and lifts out. Storage for rings, cuff links, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, watches, etc..

Two more compartments for items under tray. Features 36 note mechanism playing Lara's Theme from Dr. Most likely from the 1970's. Could be earlier or even later. Unable to confirm exact manufactured date.

Labeled "Made in Italy" and Reuge, Dr. Zhivago, Lara's Theme", "Swiss Musical Movement. Always remember, if wound too tightly the key mechanism will stick be completely nonfunctional.

It currently works properly and has been tested. High end luxury item sought by the serious collector. It is 13" long by 13" wide by 4 tall. It weighs almost 5 lb.
