VINTAGE-CODY-PRE-REUGE-DANCING-BALLERINA MUSIC BOX. Le Carillon movement

This music box belonged to my older Sister. It has a Le Carillon, comb type music movement in it, made in Switzerland. This is a pre- Reuge, which came onto the market later on, and dominated the music box market. Everything works perfectly on this item.

The ballerina spins and twirls to the music in a random way. She doesn't just spin around, she leaps up and down, spins both directions, and her legs move about freely and in unison with the music. There are a couple pinhead sized oxidation spots on the back mirrored section, and the front curved plastic window is not the original. The case is molded plastic, made to look like gray marble.
