P for sale is a beautiful vintage ornate music box (13.50" tall, 7.50" diameter) made in Italy by Capodimonte. It is exquisite and the center doors open and rotate out, then back in as the song Love Story plays. When they rotate out, each of the 6 doors has a small red velvet lined container which could hold a number of items, if one chose to do so. Each container is covered in a gold finish metal with mandolins in relief, the angel on the top is playing a mandolin.

Inside, one can catch a quick glimpse of a lyre. The cherubs around the outside are wonderful as are the 3 lions feet.

There is a push button that when depressed will cause the doors to open and then close again. One must push the button each time for the rotation to commence. The music box movement is Reuge, the great Swiss movement for music boxes. It is in excellent condition.
