Reuge Swiss Singing Automaton 2 Bird Cage Music Box - Excellent Working Order. Reuge Swiss Bird Cage Automaton Music Box W/ 2 Birds - Excellent Working Order. This beautiful automaton musical bird cage was made by Reuge in Switzerland. The cosmetic condition is excellent with some very light age related wear upon close inspection and a spot that has some rubbing.

The brass cage and base are shiny with minimal wear. The birds and inside of the cage are in excellent condition.

When wound up the two birds move by turning and flicking their tails. Their beaks open and close in accordance with their chirping.

The birds sing, producing very realistic chirping sounds by means of a mechanical bellows within the base. This music box is controlled by a switch under the base with settings for STOP, INTER, and music notes.

When in the STOP position, the birds remain still and silent. INTER for intermittent causes a slight pause or delay between the birds singing.

The music notes setting is for continuous singing with no pause. This fine example is fully working with no defects - Wind-up is smooth and all settings work properly.
