REUGE Swiss Musical Automaton Pocket Watch Music Box Excellent (Watch Video)

Here we have a Reuge musical automaton pocket watch. An open faced stem wound pocket watch No. 4757 with enamel dial and subsidiary dial with Arabic numerals. Featuring a musical alarm of Eine kleine Nachtmusik by Mozart, played along with an automaton scene including a lady pumping the handle of a water pump, activating the flowing water fountain, a horse bowing its head to take a drink from the trough and a man atop of the horse moving his arm upon which rests a falcon. The alarm can be set by moving the alarm hand to any chosen time.

It can also be activated at will by pressing a small button on the inside of the case. The alarm is wound by the original ratcheted lyre shaped key. The 17 jewelled movement is contained in a lavishly decorated engraved and gilded case.

The case is in excellent condition and is 57mm in diameter. The watch keeps excellent time and the alarm works perfectly by either setting the alarm hand, or activating it at will by way of pressing the button. The watch and key are housed in the original fine quality fitted suede case.
