Reuge Swiss Made Singing Bird Cage Music Box W/ 2 Automaton Singing Birds WORKS. This beautiful, Reuge singing bird cage is in excellent condition with minimal wear. The brass metal cage is in excellent condition and is bright and shiny showing virtually no signs of age. The interior of the cage is in excellent condition having been protected under the included glass dome over its lifetime.

The two birds are in excellent condition with vibrantly colored feathers. The mechanism works properly with both birds swiveling, opening and closing their beaks, and flitting their tails in unison with the chirping. The chirping can be set to constant, intermittent, or off. The switch works properly to switche between settings. The chirping sounds great and realistic.

Comes as shown with original Reuge cardboard box, and custom made wooden stand and glass dome. The stand and dome are a very nice addition to display and protect the singing bird cage.

Cage measures about 11-1/2" tall with about a 6" diameter base. Dome and base measure about 13" tall with the wooden base having a 9-1/2" diameter. These singing bird cages are mechanical works of art. The automaton birds are moved by a series of cams and levers powered by a wind-up spring, and the chirping sounds are produced by mechanical bellows mechanisms inside the base of the cage. This example is in excellent condition having been cared for and displayed under its included custom made glass dome and wooden base.
