REUGE MUSICAL Mantel Alarm Clock Vintage Switzerland 7 JEWELS RESTORED SERVICED
I disassembled every single piece of this clock, cleaned all parts in- AND outside and adjusted the movement to keep ACCURATE time, making it look and perform SUPER GOOD. For the work involved, please take a look at photo 8. The case of this clock comes in METAL; NO cheap plastic parts are there. The Off-White finish has FLORAL decorations in front and on the sides. The shining bezel, surrounding the clocks face, and the shining brass cilinders at each side, look like new. There are no disturbing imperfections on the case, except for the clocks face, which has some scratches, which are not disturbing. Inside the case there is the manufactory date -> 1974. In general, this beauty finds itself in a STUNNING Cosmetic and PERFECT Functioning condition! All metal parts have NO patina and are FULLY Polished.
It comes with a SILVER PLATED dial. The winding handles on the movement, at the rear, and the knobs, to set the alarm and the time are 100% authentic.
Underneath the clock, there is a winding handle for the REUGE music box. At the rear, there is a silencing, push / pull knob, to (de) activate the alarm. This clock has a 1 days windable movement which is running great and performs absolutely fantastic and, it runs ON TIME! The ticking is like that of a Swiss watch; VERY silent, because of its 7 Jewels. The dial, for the time keeping, shows the time in black, Arabic numbers and number marks, which are layed ON the dial.
On the dial you find the REUGE mark, which is definately of added value! The amount of JEWELS is written on the dial as well -> 7 Jewels. Underneath the clock, the music box can be wound. The ORIGINAL REUGE Label is still there, with the name of the song which is played when the alarm goes off -> "AIDA, MARCHE TRIOMPHALE". There is an extra alarm hand, to set the alarm. The hands telling you the time, come in Brass. ALL screws and winding handles / setting knobs are 100% AUTHENTIC! Everything is original and it passed time without major cosmetic issues.Yet, this clock is used and through the years there are minor, time related cosmetic signs of use. The hands were glowing in the dark once, but the light emitting material was partly missing, so I removed all the material. This alarm clock runs smoothly, PERFECTLY ON TIME and is in full function condition.
