Plays 10 songs using 50 notes from 5 interchangeable cylinders. The cabinet is rosewood and mahogany and is in excellent condition. There are surface scratches on the top of the cabinet, but only a few minor scratches.

Each scratch measures between 1/4 " and 1/2 ". They are located on the left in the center and in the bottom right corner of the cabinet's top. The black finish shows some light signs of wear. The music box does require a tune-up. The box winds up, and plays as it should, but has a performance issue.

I personally have only tested scroll no. 5 to not risk damaging the music box.

The first song plays fluidly without missing a note. Sometimes the second or third song the music box plays hits note out-of-tune. Additionally, there are also additional noises present.

This issue takes place only after playing one song. Not certain if this is problem with the cylinder, or the box itself. The music box plays at a good volume. Using a dB meter on an iPhone with an ambient reading of 32dB.

The music box played notes between 55dB and 75dB. Eine kleine Nachtmusik - Mozart. The Blue Danube - Strauss. Tales From the Vienna Woods - Strauss.
