Reuge 72 Note Interchangeable Cylinder Music Box. 5 Cylinders and 15 Airs. Very Popular Songs on this Unit. This is a stunning music box that is very hard to find. Any of the Reuge interchangeable cylinder music boxes are hard to find and very desirable.

I tested this unit with the various cylinders and it played and sounded beautiful. This instrument has some pitting on the brass accents (lid catch, brass cover plates) and on the cylinders. There is no pitting or tarnishing on the movement. I also noticed some surface oxidation on one side of the cylinder ends (4 of the 5 have small amounts of surface oxidation), as-pictured. The cylinders are a little dusty which makes me think this is an older offering.

There is no damage to any of the player pins. The back left foot has a nick in the finish, which could be touched-up with a furniture pen. This unit measures approximately 14 3/4 W x 7 1/2 D x 6 H (inches). Overall a beautiful offering that I believe is made of rosewood with an inlaid banding. This unit is very heavy and I will package appropriately as I don't have any of the original packaging.
