The bird animates perfectly as follows: wings flap up/down, beak opens/closes, tail flutters up/down, bird turns left/right all the while singing to a beautiful oscillating bird song that is synchronized to the bird animation. VINTAGE SINGING BIRD BOX CAGE (3 BIRDS CAGE TYPE MODEL) BEAUTIFUL REAL HUMMINGBIRDS GREEN FEATHERS (SEE THE PICTURES AND WATCH THE VIDEOS) ALL ORIGINAL AND AUTHENTIC , FULLY RESTORED AND SERVICED ON THE WHOLE ITEM , TO BRING BACK AND KEEP ITS ORIGINAL LOOKS FULLY SERVICED AND IMPROVED ON THE ORIGINAL LEATHER SKIN AND WOODEN BELLOWS. This is a very rare to find model with three birds. Beautiful singing bird box (cage). A wonderful addition to any singing bird box collection. Specially this one , that came with the real hummingbirds feathers on all 3 birds.

(You will not find another one with the feathers as unique and colorful as this 3 birds). This also is an incredibly early example of the "Eschle" brothers work - they rekindled their Father's company in the early 1950s after a 25 year hiatus (the Father hand crafted singing bird boxes between 1922 and 1928). At the beginning of the rekindled company and uses a movement from the elder Eschle. The movement is solid brass, the bird is solid brass and the mechanism is regulated by a centrifugal force governor rather than an air-brake assembly. The sons later redesigned the movement which continued to be used on all Eschle bird boxes and then eventually Reuge.

SIZE IS ABOUT : 4" x 4" x 6. This is a bird box with a "cage style" design. It has a singing bird box mechanical movement.
