The cosmetic condition is excellent with some very light age related wear upon close inspection. The brass cage and base are shiny with minimal wear. The bird and inside of the cage are in excellent condition. When wound up the bird moves it head turning while flicking their tail. Their beaks open and close in accordance with their chirping.

The birds sing, producing very realistic chirping sounds by means of a mechanical bellows within the base. This fine example is fully working with no defects - Wind-up is smooth. The cage measures 11 inches tall with a 6 inch diameter base. This is a fine example of a beautiful, classic piece. This bird cage looks and sounds beautiful. It is fully mechanical with a very sophisticated and complicated Swiss movement that consists of a precision system of gears and cams that automate the birds and simultaneously work the mechanical bellows that creates the realistic chirping sounds.
