The music box movement is a 36-note gold-plated Reuge, made in Switzerland, movement that plays Strauss' "Blue Danube". The movement is started with switch on the side of the box and plays the song through once, whether the lid is open or closed. The interior of the box has red velvet lining on the bottom of the box, the music box movement is encased in a sturdy clear plastic cover.
There is an oval plaque on the inside of the lid that states that this box is No. 01242 in a Worldwide Limited Edition of 10,000. The size of the music box is about 6 inches x 4.5 inches and 3 inches tall. Condition: The Hummel decoration on the top of the box is in excellent condition with no signs of any blemishes. There are a few small light spots on the wood portions of the box and at two of the corners of the lid it looks like the clear finish on the wood is starting to flake away.
These are all very small blemishes, but I want potential buyers to be fully aware of what they're getting. Please see the photos for closeups of these areas. The music box movement functions perfectly and sounds great. The original paper insert is included.
