ERZGEBIRGE KWO Music Box Carved Wood REUGE/ROMANCE Germany

For your consideration is this beautiful Music Box from Germany. It is an unique art work, hand crafted from wood and hand painted in the Erzgebirge region by the KWO company from Olbernhau.

The music box features a couple of people walking around a huge flower. The theme could be a spring or summer fest. The musical movement is a swiss REUGE/ROMANCE movement. The sound is bright and clear and it plays very well: "Komm, lieber Mai und mach die Baeume wieder gruen". To wind it up, just turn the key on the side clockwise. There is also a working stopper on the side. When the music is playing the platform is rotating. This piece is in excellent condition, the colours are bright and shiny. There is a scuff, though on the platform' s rim and the sitting boy' s stick broke off. Other than that, it is great! Marked with the KWO and Romance labels.

It measures 6" tall and about 6" wide. Similar ones retail for over 300 Euro in Germany.
