Vintage Reuge Enamel Singing Bird Box Automaton Music Box (watch Video)

A real survivor - look at the condition of the case and bird. This was crafted by Eschle in the late 1960s; Eschle was the predecessor to Reuge and they were acquired by Reuge in 1977 which is how Reuge entered the singing bird box market.

Reuge continues to use the Eschle based bird box movement today. The lid features a soft enamel romance scene. Fully serviced and working perfectly. In summary, this is a fantastic vintage singing bird box in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition. The bird animates perfectly as follows: wings flap up/down, beak opens/closes, tail flutters up/down all the while singing to a beautiful oscillating bird song that is synchronized to the bird animation.
