REUGE MUSIC BOX Saint-Croix Switzerland CH 2/36 ANNIVERSARY SONG & CLAIR DE LUNE

Offered for your consideration this beautiful REUGE music box. Using the stamp on the bottom edge of the slide up access panel, we believe the manufacture date for this box to be 9 46 9 or Sept 9th 1946 (see picture). As indicated by the inside label this box has two songs played on a 36 tooth comb 2/36. The songs indicated by the label are. Clair de Lune by C.

This beautiful little Hand made music box measures approximately 6 3/4 inches wide, 2 3/4 inches tall, 4 inches front to back. This box weighs approximately 1 lb 7.4 oz. This box shows very little signs of wear, there are no scratches or cracks, the joinery is exceptional, and the lid has a nice snug fit. There is a bit of a patina on the brass button. There is however one issue we must address. The box will play the "Anniversary song" but the cylinder sticks when it's time to switch to Clair de Lune. We believe after a proper cleaning by a qualified music box technician, to remedy this situation, and this box will easily triple in value. This is a great opportunity for the savvy music box collector.
