This is a very beautiful Sorrento Specialties inland music box, model # SO 210 CVBL, made in Sorrento, Italy circa 1980's. The box is made of Birdseye Maple (Pioppo wood in Italian), and the top of the box is inlaid with a floral violin motif. The box contains a Reuge Swiss 3 tune 72 note changing musical movement playing 3 tunes from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite. The musical mechanism is covered by a piece of glass, and the outer edges of the glass are decorated by a gold rope.
