Reuge 72 Note 3 Air Stunning Music Box in Exquisite Case F. Chopin (Watch Video)
Here we have a mint condition, 3 air 72 note musical box. This perfect example was made by Swiss maker Reuge, who still make high quality Musical boxes to this day! It is hard to get across to you the overall quality of this piece. This box is larger and heavier than most Reuge boxes, with superior build quality. It really is a first class example by Reuge.
This box is in pristine condition inside and out and would be ideal to present to someone as a very special gift. Such a luxurious item would, I'm sure be cherished by the recipient for many years to come. Still in the original box, this piece also comes with the original Reuge polishing cloth/storage bag. Everything included here is imacculate.
The mechanism is in excellent working order and plays beautifully. It is one of the larger Reuge examples and has a 72 note comb, which is used to full effect. To start the music box, there is a brass control switch to the front. Moving the switch to the right will start the music and it will play continuously until the button is shifted back to the left again. The case is in excellent condition and has an inner glass lid to prevent dust gathering on the mechanism. There is wonderful inlay work to the lid and every other part of the exterior. The overall finish to the case is exceptional. The music is played to perfection.Clear, crisp notes ring out in faultless succession, Not one squeak can be heard.
