Capidomonte Carousel Reuge Metal Hand Painted Music box cigarette

This is a hand painted metal Music Box in very fine looking & working condition as they get. This Reuge was made in Italy & the music box has swiss movements.

I believe this Reuge carousel music box was designed for either cigarette's or lipstick. The colors on the porcelain on this wonderful piece are very brilliant & the detail on the figures are very nice.

When the carousel is wound up & the button is pushed it plays Doctor Zhivago (Lara's Theme) & plays it very nicely also as the music is playing each panel rotated open to a set position showing the red velvet interior along with the gold plate. The brass feet on this piece look like faun heads.
