Masterfully crafted in Sainte Croix Switzerland by Reuge... The birds sing and chirp melodiously independent of one another while moving their heads and bodies joyfully along to the "music". The movement is mechanical, activated by a winding spring on the bottom of the device, and assisted by a switch which allows the singing to play either continuously, for a short duration, or can be switched off. Singing bird cage automatons have been collectible items for well over 200 years. After several European masters perfected the mechanism, Reuge has carried on and advanced this extraordinary tradition. This device is crafted from the finest materials, by skilled artisans to ensure exacting results.
